I tried installing the chipset driver that is supposed to work with my system, but when I try installing it, the nVidia logo comes up, and then a progress bar, and then it just closes. If you need the 64 bit driver that is the second link below. Make sure you don’t install programs with the option to automatically start on boot. IF you know specifically what model of the series you have then target that.

Hi Rob There is a driver file sp youneed to down load from the HP site if you type the sp in Google its fasterInstall this first and then the audio drivers and then the Modem drivers, this will sort out the audio problims.

I recently installed a new HD in my laptop and Vista seems to be working fine but it’s not recognizing. I believe the first two have to do with nvidea but everytime I try to download the driver it does not work.

Fv6000 I go to the website, it only gives me links for Vista drivers because my computer is too old, HP does not support windows 7 on sysgem model.
After getting everything installed I found under the device manager that there is an exclamation mark next to a “Base System Device driver”. This is the last issue I am having from my windows 7 upgrade and would really appreciate any assistance. They are in a better position to guide you than anybody here. Report Respond to slavik.
